Even though I'm already losing, I would go with the green. I have seen kitchens in that same color and I love it. Although I have also never had split pea soup, so I wouldn't know the resemblance.
I vote green. The blue reminds me of geese. However, should you choose to go blue, I would recommend a wallpaper border (I think they still make those??) with geese. And please make sure that the geese have bows around their necks and are lined up in a row. It's just not the same if they don't have bows.
I think the blue is pretty but it almost seems too muted. I'm with Mallorie. If you do go blue, go with the geese border and maybe get a big fat goose cookie jar.
Also, I'd like to call foul (or fowl, speaking of geese). Al and Ash posted twice and the second vote is made to seem like it's Allen, but I really suspect it's Ashley again. Heh. Just kidding.

Dad says both colors are darker than he would pick personally, but if he were to choose one he'd go green.
