Leap of Faith

They're scary. Some are scarier than others.

Sometimes the recently surrendered safety of the stable ground comes quickly. Other times you hang in the air, in slow motion, wondering if in fact your feet will find the stability that can only be felt when home. Or perhaps your leap wasn't correctly calculated and instead of landing firmly on the other side, you end up getting wet by the stream that made you hesitate in the first place.

In any case, it seems life is full of them and we keep taking them.

  1. Nice writing. Looks like everyone made the leap with 'flying' colors....Sorry, bad pun.

The other day when we were talking about the move to Las Vegas, I told Dad that the spiritual creation of the change is a lot scarier than the temporal creation portion when you can actually do something about it...make friends, find things to do, make a life. Leaps of faith. They just keep coming!

  2. Oh man. I hear ya. They never seem to end. They usually work out well though. And even if you do get one foot in the stream, you're still on the other side of it. I think that's why we all keep jumping. The leap I'm facing: kid #3. So scared.

  3. It seems that these periods of time make so much sense after they are over. In the meantime, faith is all we have to go forward. You are doing a great job handling it though, I'm very impressed.
