Dear Gracie, Happy Birthday! We had so much fun celebrating your first birthday with you. It is so hard to believe you have been in our family for one whole year. Time has gone by so quickly. You have changed so much, everyday learning and growing. Last year I went into the hospital on valentine's day - you were born the next day. One year later your dad and I talked about our memories of me going into labor, our night in the hospital, and the first few days with you in our lives.
When you came out and were placed on me you were clasping your hands together, you still do that.
We had no idea how lucky we were, all the love and joy we were going to experience with you in our lives.
We often talk about this picture of you. It makes us laugh every time we see it. You look so big!

We thought it would be a fun idea to let you eat a cupcake with frosting on it. You weren't shy at all. As soon as it was put on your tray, you grabbed it with one hand and shoved it in your mouth. You ate the majority of the cupcake. 2 hours later, it all came back up. I guess it was a little too much sugar all at once!
