Jason and I went downtown with our friends to celebrate New Year's Eve like true Autinites. Here's what happens: A man builds a working clock tower and places it in the downtown park. The week before New Year's Eve the people of Austin can go down and look at it and write their New Year's resolutions on it. And then...

...You watch it burn to the ground. Fun, huh?

Next we went to Whole Foods for dinner and took a peek at their ice skating rink on the roof.
Walking around the streets, we saw lots of fun and weird stuff--like this bat attached to a bicycle. We also noticed a nice lady walking around with a sign that said "free hugs". After passing her several times I finally stood behind Jason as we were walking and used both hands to point at him so she would know he was in need of a hug. She came running over and gave him a great big bear hug. We all laughed. We ended it with a 20 minute firework show at the river. Quite impressive! We had a lovely evening. Happy New Year!!!
Okay. What does "Down on Gracy Farms" refer to? I'm excited to see Heather blogging. It makes me feel connected to everybody to get updates on what they're doing!
ReplyDeleteSo did the google docs resolution make it on to the clock?...because I'd be all for that. :) Just kidding.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so fun. I miss you guys. I can't wait to see you. :)
