So I had this really fun idea of buying an old, cheap dining room table and painting it shabby-chic, worn, sanded, cute. I was thinking it would be fun to paint the table an antique off-white color and then do each of the chairs a different color. After looking on Craigslist for a while, I came across this table--and although not old, it was definitely cheap. Actually the cheapest one I could find. So now I have a perfectly good dining room table---should I still paint it???

To Paint or Not to Paint

Hmmmm... I guess I don't really have an opinion on this one. It would certainly look cute as shabby-chic, but it looks pretty good as is. You could always live with it awhile and see how you feel about it after a few months. How's that for noncommital?

ReplyDeleteIt's nice now...but just image an awesome off-white table with chairs of a yellow, blue, red, green persuasion :) We have a friend with a table like that with different color chairs and it looks great. anyways, I vote paint!
ReplyDeleteI vote paint as well. Only because I dont love the wood and black. I think it would be cute all black. But then again, painting it will be a lot of work. I love the bench!
