Our Little Buddy

We bought shelves. Yes, it is a bit embarrassing, but since the days of wedding planning one of our extra bedrooms has turned into a place of storage for unorganized papers, boxes, books, gift wrap, Christmas leftovers, etc. Combining two households into one only made it worse.

You know how it goes - I wasn't sure how I wanted to decorate, what we were going to do with that space, what level investment we should make, etc. I had considered many options, but it wasn't until I took a stroll through Crate & Barrell on Saturday that I was ready to just pull the trigger. I realized that regardless of how "cute" I wanted it to be in there, there was no way this chica was paying those prices for a shelving unit. And without a truck, any sort of garage sale or craigslist option becomes null and void. IKEA to the rescue. Again. For certain items it really does seem to be an amazing combination of cute (enough) and cheap (enough).

When we got home, Jason was a champ and assembled the shelves for us. He was lucky enough to get the help from our little buddy Carson (offspring of our super awesome friend Tara).

*Please note little Carson's awesome cowboy boots...
