Babylegs!

I decided to try a new project - making little baby leg warmers out of socks.  There are mucho tutorials about how to do this online.

I went to Target to find some socks and they were on sale!  Saweet.

Here's what I came home with:

First attempt.  Hmmm...they didn't turn out so well:

So I cut them down and made them into these:

The second pair turned out much better:

It was fun giving my new Christmas sewing machine some good use and to try something new.  Now to make the rest.  They don't take that long, I'm just worried they won't fit!  And I don't have a baby to try them on, so I might just wait so I can see what adjustments need to be made.

Until then, maybe I'll move onto nursery wall-art.

Oh - btw - Cedar Fever in Austin is horrible.  And I have a bad case of it this year - worse than ever before.  My doc put me on Steroids(!?)  in hopes to help me kick it.  Let's hope we see a difference.  I'm on day #1 of the medicine.

Oh.  And our house is a disaster.  A constant disaster.  I'm not really sure why we haven't been able to stay on top of it recently.  I swear we clean every night.  And every day I feel overwhelmed by STUFF everywhere out of its place.  Ick.

While we're on random thoughts - my maternity clothes aren't fitting over my belly very well anymore.  Today I put on my biggest maternity sweater that I've been wearing all pregnancy only to find the bottom of my belly showing.  grrr.  But I guess that means baby girl is getting bigger and closer to making her debut into the world.  We can't wait.

  1. Cute! I love those baby legs... I need a girl! Get used to the messy house with stuff everywhere... A baby (or 2 or 3!) will do that to you!
