Estate Sale Find

For some reason I have started "nesting" in the form of wanting our house put together oh so nicely.  After maternity leave, I will be working at home pretty much exclusively.  As such, I've been feeling the need to set up a home office.  And ofcourse, I don't do it the easy way.  I have to spend hours scouring craigslist for the perfect desk.  In doing so, I saw this table that happened to catch my eye. 

It hails from NYC where an elderly couple had it for years and years.  They relocated to Austin a few years ago and at 87 years old, decided to downsize and move into an assisted living center.  They hired a company to sell their furniture for them. 

Here are the things I like about this table: 

1.  It has 3 Leaves that insert into the table - allowing it to expand to 10 feet!  That is an enormous table.

2.  for the size, the price was right (trust me, i've been looking for a long time)

3.  Funky chairs, maybe a little too funky, but they definitely add spunk to our casa.  We are still getting used to them :)

I was going back and forth, back and forth trying to decide what to do.  I asked Jason to go take a look at it and help me with a second opinion so we could make a decision.  Next thing I know, Jason was calling me and had made the purchase, negotiating an even better price.  Way to go, way to go.
